Who we are
ApproachPal is developed by Wolffe Business World ("we", "us"). If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact us at wolffebusinessworld@gmail.com.
02
Information we collect
ApproachPal does not require you to create an account or sign in. Here's exactly what the app handles:
- Practice activity (stored on your device): your Approach practice logs, notes, lesson progress, and settings. Streaks and scores are calculated from these records. We do not upload your written notes or the names/descriptions you enter about other people. Device backups are controlled by your Apple settings.
- Age: during onboarding we ask your age. Your answer is held in the app's memory for that session only — it is not saved to your device, not sent to us, and is discarded once onboarding finishes.
- Subscription and purchase data: if you subscribe, your purchase is processed by Apple's App Store and by RevenueCat, our subscription management provider. RevenueCat receives a device-generated anonymous identifier and your purchase/transaction details in order to verify your subscription status. We do not receive or store your payment details (card numbers, etc.) — Apple handles that directly.
- Lesson and challenge content: requests to our Supabase service include your RevenueCat app-user identifier and the requested content. The service checks subscription entitlement with RevenueCat before returning paid content. Infrastructure providers may process IP addresses, request times, and technical logs for delivery, security, and troubleshooting.
- Usage analytics: PostHog receives interaction events (such as opening an onboarding screen or using the subscription screen), technical app/device information, and a random analytics identifier. This identifier distinguishes activity from the same installation; it is not your name or email. Analytics never includes the contents of your practice logs or notes. We use it, based on our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the app, and you can object at any time by emailing us (see section 05). The updated app does not link this identifier to RevenueCat and does not record screen sessions. Earlier prerelease builds enabled masked session replay and linked analytics with purchase events.
- Support: if you email us, we receive your email address and whatever information you choose to include. Please do not send passwords, card details, or private information about other people.
03
What we don't do
- We don't show ads.
- We don't use advertising or ad-network SDKs (no Meta/Facebook SDK, ad networks, etc.), and our analytics provider is not used for cross-app tracking.
- We don't sell or share your information with data brokers or advertisers.
- We don't require sign-in, so we don't hold a database of user accounts.
04
Third parties we rely on
Because ApproachPal is a small, independently developed app, we rely on a couple of trusted providers to run core features. Each only receives the minimum data needed for its job:
05
Your choices and data deletion
You control your local practice data and analytics records separately from your subscription:
- Profile → Reset My Data clears Approach logs, streak, and preferences, and replaces the local analytics identifier with a new one, so future activity isn't linked to past activity. It keeps lesson progress and does not cancel your subscription or delete data already held by service providers.
- To object to analytics or ask us to delete your analytics records, email us with the analytics reference shown in Profile → Privacy & Data. Objecting does not affect your paid access.
- Deleting the app removes its local app data from the device; backups are managed separately through Apple.
- For access or deletion requests concerning server-held data, email wolffebusinessworld@gmail.com. If available, include the analytics reference shown in Privacy & Data before resetting it. We may need information to locate and verify the relevant records. Never send payment-card details.
- To stop being charged, cancel your subscription any time in your Apple ID subscription settings — cancelling doesn't delete your on-device data, which you can clear separately as above.
Local records remain until you reset or remove them. Server-held records are retained as needed to provide and secure the service, handle support, verify purchases, and meet legal obligations. Deletion requests are subject to necessary legal, security, and transaction-retention exceptions. Changing the analytics identifier alone does not erase previously collected records.
06
Children's privacy
ApproachPal is intended for users aged 16 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
07
Data security
Because your personal practice data is stored locally on your device rather than on a server we control, it's protected by your device's own security (passcode, encryption, etc.). We recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date and using a passcode or biometric lock.
08
Changes to this policy
If we change how ApproachPal handles data, we'll update this page and change the "Last updated" date above. If changes are significant, we'll do our best to notify you inside the app.
