Who we are
ApproachPal is developed by Wolffe Business World ("we", "us"). If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact us at wolffebusinessworld@gmail.com.
02
Information we collect
ApproachPal does not require you to create an account or sign in. Here's exactly what the app handles:
- Profile info (optional, stored only on your device): a display name and email address you can enter under Profile → Edit Profile. This is never transmitted to us or anyone else — it's saved locally on your device using Apple's standard on-device storage (UserDefaults) purely so the app can display it back to you.
- Practice activity (stored only on your device): your Approach practice logs, streaks, lesson progress, and reminder/settings preferences. This data stays on your device and is not sent to our servers, because we don't operate a server that stores it.
- Age: during onboarding we ask your age to confirm you're 18 or older. This is used only to gate access to the app and is stored locally on your device.
- Subscription and purchase data: if you subscribe, your purchase is processed by Apple's App Store and by RevenueCat, our subscription management provider. RevenueCat receives a device-generated anonymous identifier and your purchase/transaction details in order to verify your subscription status. We do not receive or store your payment details (card numbers, etc.) — Apple handles that directly.
- Lesson and challenge content: the coaching content shown in the Learn and Approach tabs is fetched from our backend (Supabase) using a public, read-only key. This request does not include any personal information or identifier tied to you.
- Usage analytics: we use PostHog to understand how people use the App — for example, which screens are visited and how they're interacted with. PostHog also records session replays (a playback of on-screen activity) so we can spot bugs and confusing flows; text and images are masked by default, so replays do not capture what you actually typed or viewed. This data is tied to an anonymous device identifier, not your name or email.
03
What we don't do
- We don't show ads.
- We don't use advertising or ad-network SDKs (no Meta/Facebook SDK, ad networks, etc.), and our analytics provider is not used for cross-app tracking.
- We don't sell or share your information with data brokers or advertisers.
- We don't require sign-in, so we don't hold a database of user accounts.
04
Third parties we rely on
Because ApproachPal is a small, independently developed app, we rely on a couple of trusted providers to run core features. Each only receives the minimum data needed for its job:
05
Your choices and data deletion
Since your practice logs, profile info, and preferences live only on your device:
- You can clear your Approach logs, streak, and preferences at any time from Profile → Reset My Data.
- Deleting the app from your device permanently removes all locally stored data.
- To stop being charged, cancel your subscription any time in your Apple ID subscription settings — cancelling doesn't delete your on-device data, which you can clear separately as above.
06
Children's privacy
ApproachPal is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
07
Data security
Because your personal practice data is stored locally on your device rather than on a server we control, it's protected by your device's own security (passcode, encryption, etc.). We recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date and using a passcode or biometric lock.
08
Changes to this policy
If we change how ApproachPal handles data, we'll update this page and change the "Last updated" date above. If changes are significant, we'll do our best to notify you inside the app.
